Because of this, a very permissive and relaxed gun culture exists in Alaska. In fact, like a few other western states, Alaska has no limits on NFA or so-called “Class 3” weapons. That means if you can afford it and get it from an Alaska Class 3 dealer, you can own it!
Alaskans love the great outdoors, and they love not being eaten by bears. They also love the sounds of nature, and strangely enough, the sound of a high powered rifle or big bore handgun isn’t one of the normal sounds of nature.
